Citrine is a variety of quartz, with the colour being in the range from yellow to golden brown to burnt amber. It is one of the two minerals on the planet which does not hold and accumulate negative energy, but dissipates and transmutes it, working-out problems on both the physical and subtle levels. This Citrine from Brazil is a heat treated amethyst, an affordable alternative to natural citrine which is relatively rare. It shows a range of translucent colors from sunny yellow to brown.
