Jasper is a form of opaque, usually patterned, chalcedony and occurs in massive formations. Red Jasper, a form of chalcedony that comes from quartz, gains its colour from iron inclusions.

The gems were a good size and the information cards are very cute. I was expecting a peice of jewelry with the package as shown on the facebook ad but there were just the few crystals. It was a good buy for a surprize box.
